Dartford’s residents are invited to join the Worshipful the Mayor of Dartford, Councillor John Burrell and Leader of the Council, Councillor Jeremy Kite at a special ceremony ahead of Armed Forces Day.

The ceremony will begin at 10.50am on Monday 20th June 2016 at the War Memorial in Market Street.

Dartford Borough Council will also be flying the Armed Forces Day flag at the Civic Centre from Monday 20th June until Armed Forces Day itself on Saturday 25th June.

Armed Forces Day aims to raise awareness of the contribution made by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Services. It also gives the nation an opportunity to show their support for the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to veterans.
