WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN £250 THIS CHRISTMAS?

Enter our Beams Big Christmas Raffle and help disabled children and their families.

We Are Beams provide care and support for disabled children and their families in Kent and Medway. The disabled children and young people who access Beam’s services will typically have one or more learning difficulty, complex health needs, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, Autism or severe ADHD.

For young people like Ruby, Beams has become a home from home, a place to make friends and try new activities. Ruby’s parents feel content knowing that she is happy, having fun and enjoying herself whilst in our care.

Ruby is 14 years old and has a diagnosis of Angelman’s Syndrome. This genetic disorder causes development delay, intellectual disability, speech problems, seizures and problems with movement and balance.

There is no cure for Ruby but therapies will help her reach her development potential.

Ruby’s parents introduced to Beams when Ruby was four years old. They access the Dragon’s Retreat respite overnight care, holiday play schemes throughout the year and are in receipt of Direct Payments to help with Ruby’s Care at home.

Jane, Ruby’s mum is so grateful to Beams for all their support,

“Ruby enjoys her stays with We Are Beams, the staff are amazing and I feel contented that Ruby is safe and well looked after whenever she is there”.

You can help support children like Ruby by entering our Big Christmas Raffle for just £2 and help us to continue to be there for local families.
