Lions are roaring to go ! This year marks the 40th Fireworks Night hosted by the Dartford Lions Club in Central Park Dartford on  Saturday 5th November. Marked in the clubs calendar as their largest fundraising event of the year since first starting the event back in the late 1970’s, the event has grown each year. Biggest Twilight Walk ever to support ellenor

A record 609 people took part in hospice charity ellenor’s Twilight Walk on Friday night in Gravesend – truly turning the streets of the town orange for an evening! Undeterred by the earlier rain, young and old, family and friends, joined together to undertake either a 8km or 12km route through Gravesend in an event which was sponsored by Esquire Developments. New national phone line launched for power cuts

Power companies have worked together to launch a new national power cut phone line – 105 – to help people contact their local electricity network company. UK Power Networks which delivers electricity across the East, South East and London, has joined forces with other regional networks to provide a single national number for power cut queries. Callers dialling 105, which is free to use, will be put straight through to their local electricity network operator, helping avoid potential confusion or people contacting the wrong organisation. Bavaria set to hit Dartford for another year

Last year we saw a slice of Bavaria come to Kent with Dartford Oktoberfest 2015 held at Amar Hall. The night saw almost 100 guests drinking steins of German beer, enjoying a live Oompah band and snacking on traditional Bavarian bratwurst.
