Home Instead Dartford, a leading local home care company, has been honoured with the ‘Good for the Community’ award at the prestigious Dartford Business Awards 2025, sponsored by Amazon LCY3. The award, presented at a ceremony held at Bluewater Shopping Centre, recognizes businesses that go above and beyond to make a positive impact on the local community.

The award was presented by Jeremy Kite, Leader of Dartford Council, who spoke highly of Home Instead Dartford’s commitment to the community. The accolade specifically celebrates the company’s impactful community initiatives, including its free, life-saving workshops on dementia awareness, CPR, and scam prevention.

To date, these free workshops have empowered over 3,500 local residents with crucial knowledge and skills.

Ram and Christina, Directors of Home Instead Dartford, accepted the award. Ram said, “We are incredibly proud and humbled to receive this award. It is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, who are passionate about not only providing exceptional care in our clients’ homes but also about strengthening our community as a whole.”

Christina added, “Our ‘Dementia Friendly Business Initiative’ is just one way we aim to give people living with dementia and their carers the confidence to remain active and engaged in the community. Winning this award motivates us to continue these vital services and to serve even more people in the Dartford area.”

In addition to this new honour, Home Instead Dartford is also a five-star employer, a title they have proudly held for five consecutive years, reflecting their commitment to staff satisfaction and a supportive work environment. This recognition is a key part of their ongoing strategy to recruit the best local talent.

“We are more than a home care company; we are a partner in the community,” said Ram. “This award proves that our values-led approach is making a real difference. As we continue to grow, our focus is on attracting more compassionate people to join our team. We are actively looking to recruit another 30 local care professionals in the next two years to meet the growing need for our services.”
