Fancy following in Andy and Jamie Murray’s tennis steps… then try Tennis Tots.™

by | Apr 25, 2016 | Dartford Sport

This fun and interactive programme helps kids to develop emotionally, physically, and socially… while picking up the fundamentals of tennis.

The Tennis Tots™ programme has two stages 2-4 yrs and 4-6 yrs and goes far beyond just getting kids playing tennis, it aims to provide an all round approach for children to develop many different skills whilst learning a sport that can stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Incorporating many of the early years learning goals, the Tennis Tots™ curriculum provides a unique experience for children to develop physically, socially and emotionally and helps provide an environment to get children ready for a classroom setting and indeed serves the children well into their school years and beyond.

Using a structured approach to each session children learn to listen to instructions whilst having fun and learning about numbers, colours, shapes and letters as well as developing core skills such as running, catching, throwing and balance with the ultimate goal of learning the basics of tennis.

Tennis Tots North West Kent is run by Sarah Allan a lifelong tennis player and mum to young children. Sarah is keen to promote health and fitness in all children and believes her Tennis Tots™ classes can do this through the activities and games that are the basis of the sessions. Tennis Tots™ allows those who might not otherwise get a chance to play tennis be involved in this great sport from a very early age.
