Big Dreams Start Here

A story of passion, perseverance and a young racer putting our community on the motorsport map.

In every community there are young people quietly putting in the work, chasing ambitions that stretch far beyond their postcode. One of those is Ayrton Lima Evans, a talented young racer whose passion for karting has grown from weekend laps into a focused sporting journey that is now gaining wider attention.

Ayrton is not only making his mark in motorsport — he is also a proud student at Dartford Grammar School, where he is recognised for his strong commitment to both academic and extracurricular excellence. Known for his enthusiasm and dedication, Ayrton has demonstrated exceptional performance in areas such as drama, school sport and competitive racing, balancing the demands of school life with the discipline required to compete at a high level in motorsport.

Online profiles already describe him as a future racing talent — focused, relentless and steadily proving himself on circuits across the country. Yet behind the helmet is a well-rounded student who represents his school with pride, combining determination on the racetrack with creativity, teamwork and confidence in the classroom and on stage.

A Rising Star on Four Small Wheels

Ayrton’s journey into motorsport began in childhood when he was only 6 years old, and it didn’t take long for his talent to stand out. As a cadet-karting sensation, he’s competed initially in Buckmore Park Circuit in Medway, winning the Summer Championship in 2024 and being the Runner-Up for 2 consecutive Winter Championships in 2024 and 2025. His determination led him to also be nominated for Most Promising Driver in 2024, Driver’s Driver and Driver of the Year in 2025. A series of recognition earned for his teamwork, blistering pace, technical skill and a fearless competitive spirit.

In 2024 and 2025, he delivered a series of standout performances across multiple race meetings at Rye House Kart Raceway, Brentwood Karting and TeamSport Karting Docklands, consistently finishing at the sharp end of the results table.

On the national stage, Ayrton competed in the 2024 season with Club 100, racing against some of the UK’s strongest arrive-and-drive competitors and securing 11th place overall out of 96 drivers and earning Driver of the Day at his very first event in the championship.

In 2025, he stepped up again, this time across two Club 100 championships. He claimed an impressive 3rd place in the Southern Championship (out of 87 drivers) and 5th place in the Northern Championship (out of 56 drivers), further cementing his reputation as a consistent front-runner.

In the second half of the year, Ayrton joined Tim Wilson Motorsport, based in Shenington Kart Racing Club – Banbury. His first debut as owner driver in Iame Waterswift saw him winning the Novice trophy at Shenington Club Meeting in August. Even in larger event fields, such as the Kart-O-Ween meeting at Whilton Mill Karting in October 2025, Ayrton held his own with solid pace and a strong 5th-place finish and Top Novice Driver, competing against drivers from across the UK.

Recent race results show Ayrton clinching top positions in the Cadet class, demonstrating both consistency and speed — multiple fastest laps and victories that have become part of his growing reputation in grassroots motorsport. His presence on social media further reflects his commitment to the sport and to sharing his journey, with family, friends and fans following every thrilling corner of his progress.

More Than Racing – A Well-Rounded Student

While motorsport plays a huge role in Ayrton’s life, it is only one part of his journey.

At Dartford Grammar School, Ayrton is known for his enthusiasm across a wide range of activities. He has shown particular talent in drama and performance, confidently taking part in school productions such as Around the World in 80 Days, playing the main character – Mr Fogg, and developing strong communication and stage presence — skills that translate naturally to the confidence required in competitive sport.

He is also highly active in school and local sport, playing both football and rugby, including representing Blackheath Rhinos Football Club, where teamwork, resilience and discipline continue to shape his character.

Balancing school life, sport and national-level karting requires significant commitment and organisation — something Ayrton approaches with maturity and determination well beyond his years.

Taking the Track Back to School

What makes Ayrton’s story resonate deeply with our community isn’t just his results on the track — it’s how he’s taken that success back to where it all began: his former primary school.

Though Ayrton is still young, he’s already shown a heart for giving back. Last year he’s been involved in visiting Eltham Church of England Primary School, taking in his Karting Simulator at the school’s christmas fair so pupils could have a go and to help raise money for the school.  He also had the opportunity to talk with parents and pupils about pursuing their passions, setting goals, and the importance of dedication both inside and outside the classroom. More school visits are lined up for 2026, including returning to Eltham CofE for the Summer Fair. Through these sessions — tailored to enrich young minds with confidence and ambition — Ayrton encourages the next generation to dream big and chase their own checkered flags.

These visits are more than motivational talks — they link Ayrton’s personal experience with practical encouragement, showing kids that big ambitions start with small steps. His connection with his former teachers and classmates helps make the message real: success doesn’t take you away from your community — it brings you back to it.

Supported at Home and in the Community

Behind the scenes, Ayrton’s journey is very much a family effort. Motorsport requires early mornings, long travel days and a great deal of commitment, and that support has been central to his progress so far. It’s a routine many local families will recognise — weekends spent pitch-side, celebrating the highs and learning from the lows together.

Ayrton continues to develop his understanding of different circuits, conditions and competition levels by spending a significant time at his Next Gen Simulator and having weekly 1-2-1 lessons with his coach George Pallozzi from IRemoteCoach and on track with Tim Wilson and his team of coaches. He is also an active football and rugby player, playing for his local team in Blackheath Rhinos and Dartford Grammar School while also attending strengthening sessions with his Personal Trainer (aka mum) at Wellbeing Expert Fitness.

Like many young drivers, not every weekend runs perfectly, but each race adds to his experience. Tough moments, close battles and long days at the track are all part of the learning curve — one that Ayrton embraces with maturity beyond his years.

Looking Ahead with Big Ambitions

Looking to the future, Ayrton’s ambitions stretch well beyond his current racing chapter. In 2026, the next major step in his journey is a move into IAME Junior X30, a highly competitive 12 – 15 years-old category that represents a significant milestone for drivers with aspirations beyond karting. He has been competing at circuits such as Shenington Kart Race Circuit and Paul Fletcher International (TKVC), building experience on tracks that play an important role in developing young drivers.

Beyond that, Ayrton and his family are working hard toward a long-term pathway that could see him progress into car racing, with GT Racing Series and the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) firmly in sight as future goals. Adding to that ambition, Ayrton is also preparing to take part in international competitions, with plans to compete at the IAME Eurocup at Le Mans – Belgium in October 2026 — an exciting opportunity to race on a world-class stage against drivers from across Europe and beyond.

It’s an ambitious road ahead, but one built on steady development, strong family, friends and sponsors support and a belief that big dreams can grow from local beginnings.

Backing Local Talent: A Call for Community Sponsorship

As Ayrton’s racing career continues to accelerate, so do the demands that come with competing at a higher level. Motorsport, even at grassroots level, requires significant investment — from equipment and race entries to travel, testing and ongoing development. To help support this journey, Ayrton and his family are actively seeking local business sponsorship.

So far, Ayrton has been very luck to have been supported by companies such as EPlust Tuition, Wellbeing Expert Fitness and Higher Elevation Lifts. Join us this year is Pre-Loved For Purpose – Homeless Support, which he is immensely proud.

For community businesses, this presents a unique and meaningful opportunity. Supporting Ayrton isn’t just about funding a young driver — it’s about investing in local talent and aligning with a positive, ambitious role model. Sponsors gain visibility through race events, high social media exposure – including races featured live on YouTube, branded racewear and karts, and mentions in community features like this one. With Ayrton’s growing following and presence at well-attended race meetings across the region and nationally, sponsors benefit from consistent and authentic exposure to families, motorsport fans and fellow local businesses.

Beyond branding, sponsorship represents a shared story: a local business helping a local young person chase a big dream. It strengthens community ties, demonstrates commitment to youth development, and shows customers that supporting local really does make a difference.

As Ayrton looks toward the next stages of his racing journey, community backing could play a vital role in turning potential into long-term success — proving that when a community rallies behind one of its own, everyone moves forward together.

A Journey the Community Can Follow

Ayrton Lima Evans’ story is not about instant success or overnight headlines. It’s about commitment, progress and the courage to aim high while staying grounded.

It’s about hard work, dedication and balancing ambition with education — a young student from Dartford Grammar School pursuing excellence both in the classroom and on the racetrack.

With determination, strong community support and a relentless drive to improve, those early laps around local circuits may well become the foundation for something much bigger.

This is only the beginning — and Ayrton’s road ahead is one worth watching.
