Dartford Borough Council’s Environmental Enforcement team is appealing for locals to come forward if they saw fly-tipping taking place in Southfleet last week. Building material, debris and rubbish were dumped at Park Corner Road and Foxhounds Lane on the evening of Friday, December 10 th . The waste initially covered the entire road, but has since been moved so that traffic can pass by safely. Leader of the Council Jeremy Kite said: “Any amount of fly-tipping, in any part of our borough, is totally unacceptable. “In this instance, the criminals who dumped their waste so selfishly have blocked a road in the process, causing disruption not only to local traffic, but potentially to emergency services who could be on their way to save a life. “I’d urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on Friday to come forward and speak to our Environmental Enforcement team.” We would like to ask motorists who were in the area between 6pm and 10pm on Friday, December 10th to check their dashcam for footage of goods vehicles. Anyone with information or footage should report this to Dartford Borough Council on 01322 343434 or email environmental.enforcement@dartford.gov.uk , quoting reference number DBC/EARS/01863/2021.
