From Dartford to Wimbledon… There’s Always Room for Mum’s Magic

by | Jun 22, 2016 | Dartford Sport, Where to go locally

Andy Murray’s remarkable tennis journey started with his Mum. Dedicated to tennis, the games and drills Judy Murray developed with both her sons has been instrumental in their success. That dedication as well as Andy’s grit and determination has also lead to a historic 5th Queens Club victory and a second Wimbledon title could be next. Tennis Tots North West Kent is run by a Mum, also dedicated to teaching young children the fundamentals of tennis through games and activities. Read on for her story and get your children and indeed yourselves involved in Tennis.

“I came across Tennis Tots whilst searching various job sites dedicated to mums working from home. Having had two children I was ready to take on a new challenge, one that would allow me to work around the children’s routines.

Previously I had worked as a freelance consultant in a corporate environment and as such I was comfortable working for myself but I really wanted to work within a field I was passionate about. When I saw the Tennis Tots franchise advert I knew it could be a fantastic business opportunity, particularly as I’ve been an avid tennis player since I was a child.

As a mum to children in the tennis tots age range, I feel I have developed a greater understanding of how children learn and develop, allowing me to deliver an empathetic and enthusiastic approach to children and parents during my Tennis Tots sessions.” Sarah Allan, Tennis Tots Coach

Free taster sessions are available for both age groups (2-4 & 4-6) at Longfield Academy on Saturday mornings please get in touch at northwestkent@tennis-tots.co.uk for more information.
