Stephen Oliver: Studio & Gallery and We Are Beams are organising a special community art exhibition showcasing the creativity of primary school children to support a cause that makes a real difference to families in their local community.
The collaboration invites primary schools to encourage their pupils to create artwork inspired by their favourite literary characters. Selected pieces will be exhibited at Stephen Oliver’s Gallery in the Orchards Shopping Centre, Dartford, before being auctioned online to raise funds for local charity We Are Beams.
The exhibition and auction will run from Thursday 4 June to Sunday 28 June 2026, with all proceeds supporting We Are Beams essential services, including Family Advice, Respite Care and Summer Play Schemes for children with complex disabilities.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the free exhibition throughout June and take part in the online auction. Winning bidders will not only take home a unique piece of art but will also be contributing to vital care services for local families and disabled children.
We Are Beams believe that disabled children with complex needs can thrive and reach their full potential with the right support.
Celebrating their 30 anniversary this year, Beams impact goes beyond just care, their services reduce social isolation, promote friendships, enhance mental health and well-being, and provide families with the much-needed respite from the challenges of caregiving.
