The sustainably-driven farm has launched its new farm-to-fork dining outlet

Beck Evans Farm is proud to announce the opening of Penelope’s restaurant, a new dining establishment dedicated to providing fresh, locally sourced, and sustainably produced food in a welcoming atmosphere.

Located in North West Kent, beside the River Cray, Beck Evans Farm spreads across 25 acres of working farmland, producing crops yearly, and offers locals the perfect destination for family days out in nature.

Now, the farm is making the most of its high-quality, fresh produce, with the launch of Penelope’s, where guests will be able to enjoy a seasonal menu of Mediterranean-themed dishes catering for everyone from picky eaters to those looking to explore new flavours.

Rooted in sustainability, the restored barn restaurant provides a rustic farm-to-fork dining experience, with some of the herbs and produce used grown on the premises.

The Menu

The menu at Penelope’s is a celebration of Mediterranean cuisine, and it offers a diverse range of dishes that are sure to please any palate. From homemade pasta to perfectly cooked pizza made in the central pizza oven, every dish is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are bursting with flavour.

While enjoying a morning on the farm, visitors can start their day with the popular Medi Clash, featuring fluffy pancakes with grilled halloumi, spicy beef, and savoury sides. Or for lunch, guests can try homemade fresh pasta with sliced chicken breast, tangy tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella.

Penelope’s Afternoon Tea menus include a mix of savoury and sweet treats, featuring seasonal ingredients and traditional favourites, such as scones. Guests can relax into an afternoon indulging in delightful treats, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a leisurely day out.

The Setting

Situated in a restored barn, this charming restaurant was named after the Beck Evans Farm owner’s daughter.

But Penelope’s is much more than just a restaurant. It’s a destination that offers a unique experience for families, friends, and anyone who cares about sustainability. As guests take in the stunning outdoor terrace and picnic garden, they are free to unwind and soak up the beauty of their surroundings.

Sustainability

The restaurant’s sustainable features, including solar panels, and rainwater harvesting system, make it a true haven for eco-conscious foodies.

Penelope’s dedication to eco-friendliness is evident throughout the restaurant, from the locally sourced ingredients to the sustainable features. This makes it a perfect choice for those who are looking to indulge in a guilt-free dining experience that doesn’t compromise on taste or quality.

Penelope’s takes pride in supporting the local community by sourcing ingredients from nearby farms, and this commitment to sustainability is evident in every bite.

Whether it’s a romantic evening out, a family-friendly meal, or those who enjoy eco-conscious dining, Penelope’s offers something for everyone.

“With sustainability at the heart of everything we do, you can feel good about supporting a business that truly cares about the environment.,” says the general manager, Henriette Perkins.

“Penelope’s is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to indulge in a culinary experience that is both delicious and sustainable, and make memories that will last a lifetime.”
