“A Stellar cast playing their roles perfectly.”
Review: Some Mothers Do ‘Ave Em at The Orchard Theatre

Review by Sarah Young for Dartford Living

Based on the 1970’s classic TV comedy, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em returns after its hugely successful debut theatre run, having earned an astonishing 21 five star reviews.

We were promised hilarious mishaps and DIY disasters, sure to bring the house down and this definitely doesn’t disappoint. The audience is well and truly spoilt with a stellar cast playing their roles perfectly.

Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em is an absolutely wonderful comic caper, impressing even the loyalist of Frank Spencer fans. This show truly captures the imagination of many childhoods and indeed grown ups in the 70s.

Playing Frank was always going to be huge shoes to fill, but Joe Pasquale does this with absolute comic timing and genius. He brings such joyful enthusiasm to the part, however Susie Blake steals the show as the disapproving yet somewhat tipsy mother in law.

Look out for crafty choreography, stairway shenanigans and belly laughs a plenty, with a soundtrack that gets your feet tapping! This show not only captured my heart, but captivated the whole audience from beginning to end.

This is such a crowd pleaser, bringing back such wonderfully nostalgic memories. Beguiling fans of old, yet also introducing the lovable, charming, yet accident prone national treasure, that is Frank to a whole new generation of fans, this is a show not to be missed!

So please take a seat and let the floor leave your feet – and buckle up for the show of shows! Have another five star review to add to your impressive and well deserved collection.
