Winterland to Return to Bluewater This Christmas

by | Oct 17, 2023 | Bluewater, What's On?

Winterland is set to return to Bluewater for Christmas 2023, bringing with it exciting new attractions and seasonal food offerings, with tickets and token bundles on sale now.

The magical outdoor, festive event where guests can enjoy winter-themed funfair rides, games and attractions will return to Bluewater from Saturday 11th November until Sunday 7th January 2024 and will be located outside The Village, near Zizzi’s.

The luminaire promenade will light the way to the festive fun and a new heart shaped lighting feature will provide an Instagrammable backdrop for guests.

Offering plenty of fun for guests of all ages, Winterland will have an exciting range of white-knuckle rides on offer, along with family favourites – the bumper cars, waltzers and for the first time ever, a double deck carousel. Brand-new arcade games have also been added this year, with guests able to win 1.5metre-tall super plush toys by cutting a string with just the console’s joystick controls.

The 40-metre-high Observation Wheel will also be returning for 2023, providing guests with spectacular views over Bluewater and the surrounding Green-Flag status parkland.

To fight the chill and get into the festive spirit, guests can also sip a hot mulled wine or winter spiced cider, whilst children can enjoy a deluxe hot chocolate. There will also be a great range of food on offer too, from Christmas coffees and delicious loaded donuts to festive-themed Yorkshire pudding wraps featuring all the trimmings.

The reveal of Winterland’s 2023 line-up follows the announcement that Bluewater’s Ice Rink will return from 14th November until Sunday 7th January 2024. The rink will also be located outside the Village, near Zizzi’s and will sit under a clear roof, making it the perfect activity come rain, snow, or shine this festive season.

The centre’s enchanting Christmas experience, Believe, is also set to return following a magical makeover for 2023. The Grotto will be open from 1st December right up until Christmas Eve and will be located inside Bluewater for the first time on the Lower Rose Gallery, opposite Superdrug.

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, commented: “Christmas is truly one of the most magical times of the year here at Bluewater, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming back Winterland once again.

“With a range of new and exciting attractions, we are sure guests that guests will love what Winterland 2023 has to offer.

“To complete a perfect festive family day out, why not visit our outdoor, undercover ice rink and take a trip to meet Santa at the new-look ‘Believe’. As all our attractions are likely to be incredibly popular, we encourage guests to book early to guarantee their visit.”

Bluewater’s Winterland will be open from Saturday 11th November until Sunday 7th January. Tickets and ride tokens are on sale now. For further information, and to book tickets please visit https://bluewater.co.uk/winterland-2023
