JUNE 2016: Bluewater, Europe’s leading retail and leisure destination, is celebrating Father’s Day by hosting a series of exciting activities, events and offers throughout June.

For the adventurous dad:

Much more than just a shopping destination, visitors to Bluewater this Father’s Day can enjoy endless activities on-site. Dad can opt for a round of mini golf on the Pirate Cove Adventure Golf Course, or set sail with little ones in the Pirate Pedaloes. Head indoors to catch the latest action blockbuster at Showcase Cinema or try your hand at video games and driving simulators in the Sega Active Zone. And for the 18th and 19th June only, the Jobe Sport Paddleboard installation in Bluewater’s Winter Garden is just the thing for dads after a splash of excitement this Father’s Day. The inflatable pool will be filled with 16,000 litres of water, where two stand-up paddleboards will sit. Families can practice their skills with professionals and put their balance to the test! For those who would like to stay dry, a relaxed seating area with chairs and beanbags beneath a beach star tent will also accompany the installation. It’s free and there’s no need to book, plus goodie bags will be given out to those who take part.

Foodie fathers:

Hungry? With over 60 places to eat, there is plenty of choice when it comes to dining out at Bluewater. From Mexican market dishes and Margaritas at Wahaca, Japanese-inspired cuisine at Wagamama and Italian delights at the recently opened Bella Italia, there is something for everyone on the menu at Bluewater. And to mark UEFA EURO 2016, Byron at Bluewater has the perfect fuel for football-fanatic fathers. The Byronaldo hamburger is made up of a 6oz hamburger, crispy bacon, Freddar™ cheese, Bovril onions, crispy onions, bread-and-butter pickles, mustard burger sauce, all in a glazed bun. Byron’s head chef Fred Smith created the feast, inspired by his trips to Wembley as a child. Guests at Byron can also check out the new beer and dessert menu, or pick up the Byron cookbook on the way out – the perfect Father’s Day gift.

With all the excitement on Father’s Day, dad may need a midday pick-me-up. The Nespresso Boutique on the Upper Guildhall at Bluewater is running tasting sessions for the entire month of June. Pop in and experience the full range of Nespresso coffees and explore their collection of machines, including the Lattissima Touch, Pixie Clips and the new Nespresso By KitchenAid machine.

The Da Vinci dad:

For the dad with an artistic streak, Bluewater’s Soft Play Zone, Splat, will be hosting craft activities for all the family to enjoy from 11th-19th June. Once masterpieces have been created, dad can sit back and relax, whilst the little monsters have some serious fun in the play zone.

Dapper dad:

With over 300 retailers to choose from, there is fashion for every father at Bluewater and on 19th June, Hackett, the home of essentially British menswear, is running an in-store competition for the dad who doesn’t compromise on style. Drop in on Father’s Day for the chance to win £500 worth of vouchers. Hackett’s collections are built around impeccable tailoring, complemented by luxurious casualwear.

Before the journey home, why not treat dad to the best toiletries for some Sunday night pampering. Crabtree and Evelyn are offering 30% off all their men’s range in-store at Bluewater on Father’s Day. They will also be offering a free travel bag to guests who purchase any full size fragrance. Boots, John Lewis and House of Fraser are also running promotions on Clinique for Men products – buy 2 products and receive a free gift (2nd – 18th June).

Bluewater, Europe’s leading shopping, retail and leisure destination, brings together over 300 top retailers with quality dining options and family-friendly entertainment. Guests can enjoy stress-free shopping with free parking, late night shopping and retailer Click & Collect Service. For more info visit www.Bluewater.co.uk
