Dartford town centre’s getting ready to sparkle and shine at this year’s Big Christmas Switch On which takes place on Saturday 19 November.
Joe Pasquale will be joined on stage by The Gruffalo, The Wedding Singer and Orchard Theatre pantomime stars from 2pm, as the countdown to switching on Dartford’s Christmas lights begins. There will also be performances from Chris Till, DAODS and The Little Mix Experience.
The performers will be joined on stage by the Mayor of Dartford Councillor John Burrell, Father Christmas and our colouring competition winner to switch on the lights at 5.20pm.
In addition to the acts and entertainment on stage in the High Street, there will be lots of family entertainment and giveaways around the town centre.
Councillor Patsy Thurlow, Cabinet Member for Events said, “We’re looking forward to another spectacular Big Christmas Switch On this year and hope you can join us in the High Street for an afternoon of festive fun! It’s a great start to the festive season and every year the town and all our visitors look great covered in paper snow! It takes ages to clear up but who cares? It’s Christmas!”
