The NHS in Kent and Medway has announced proposals to create three new ‘hyper acute’ stroke units in Kent and Medway.  Although general stroke services are currently provided in Kent and Medway’s hospitals, there are currently no specialist hyper acute units that in other parts of the country have been shown to improve outcomes for people who have had a stroke. Aldi Dartford Staff and Customers Raise Cash for Teenage Cancer Trust

Kind-hearted customers and staff at Aldi in Dartford have raised more than £3,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. This sum has been raised after colleagues and customers completed a range of activities including raffles and fancy-dress days in store. Similar events were held at Aldi stores and Regional Distribution Centres across the UK and together helped to raise £1.2m nationally for the charity. Charity CXK Relaunches Prince’s Trust Team Programme in Dartford

Kent charity, CXK, will next week relaunch its Prince’s Trust Programme in Dartford; a scheme designed to help unemployed and vulnerable young people in the local area to gain skills and find work, apprenticeships or return to education.
