Bluewater to host the first ever ‘emotorexpo South East’

by | Jul 18, 2023 | Bluewater, Where to go locally

The Aspect Partnership is delighted to announce the first ever ‘emotorexpo South East’ – a free to visit, all-electric, automotive event for the South East of England.

emotorexpo South East will be held at Bluewater Shopping Centre from the 18th-23rd July, in the M&S outdoor car park. The event has been designed to help visitors navigate the rapid changes in the UK electric/hybrid car market, whilst taking place in a relaxed and accessible environment.

With more e-vehicle options than ever before on the market, the emotorexpo South East will help people fully consider their options ahead of their next car purchase. On display will be a selection of BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles), PHEV (Plug in Electric Vehicles) and HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), with experts on hand to answer any questions and talk through the myriad of options available to consumers.

The inaugural event will see a range of electric and hybrid cars from a growing list of innovative manufacturers, including brands such as Fiat, Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo, Polestar, Abarth and Jeep.

A ‘Test Drive Zone’ will enable guests to try out some of the models for themselves, with the new Jeep Avenger, the European car of the year, and Polestar 2 as just two of the cars available for test drives.

The emotorexpo has been created and developed by a British team who have previously run 35 car events in The UK and North America. Their shows have all centered around letting visitors have free access to the latest vehicles in high-quality locations.

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, commented: “We’re always looking for ways to diversify our offering at Bluewater, so we’re thrilled to be hosting the inaugural emotoexpo South East at the centre.

“We encourage guests to visit and explore the array of electric and hybrid vehicles which will be available for test drives, and take advantage of the expert advice on hand to demystify the ever expanding range of vehicles on the market as sustainable travel becomes a priority for our population.”

emotorexpo South East’s creator, Graeme Carver, said: “It has been a real pleasure to create a new, free-to-visit show format that is intended to really help people though this period of dramatic change in the car market. During lockdown we were puzzled by the range of options coming onto the market and we designed the show to encourage people to come and see for themselves and consider their best options.”
