  • Thursday 13th September, 10-1pm: Leisure and Hospitality Jobs Fair
  • Friday 14th Sept, 10am-4pm: Retail Jobs Fair

Tuesday 11th September: Now in its seventh consecutive year, Bluewater along with its pioneering on-site recruitment and training facility, The Learning Shop, welcomes back the highly successful Jobs Fair on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th September.

A wide variety of roles will be on offer over the two days including sales assistants, waiting staff, supervisors and managers from over 70 Bluewater employers, including John Lewis, Next, Calzedonia, HMV, JD Sports, Rosa’s Thai and Build A Bear Workshop – all hoping to fill vacancies with new employees.

The two-day event taking place in the Village Marquee, is split between roles in leisure & hospitality on Thursday 13th and opportunities in retail on Friday 14th September. Applicants can book a place to attend the Jobs Fair by visiting The Learning Shop’s website, www.learningshopbluewater.co.uk, or calling 01322 624455.

The Learning Shop is a unique partnership between Bluewater, North Kent College and Department for Work and Pensions and has been in partnership for 19 years. Since opening at Bluewater, The Learning Shop has brokered employment for over 50,000 people, trained almost 25,000 people and awarded 15,000 qualifications. The annual Jobs Fair has also helped match thousands of suitable candidates to roles at Bluewater since launching in 2011.

Gareth Johnson, MP for Dartford and David Mote, The Worshipful Mayor of Dartford, will be visiting the event on Friday alongside Bluewater’s General Manager, Robert Goodman.

Speaking on behalf of The Learning Shop’s partners, Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s General Manager, says: “We’re delighted to be once again hosting the Jobs Fair alongside The Learning Shop to welcome even more talented people to Bluewater. There will be a great variety of jobs on offer from our great line up of quality retailers, and we wish all applicants the very best of luck.”

Ben Gay, Centre Manager at The Learning Shop, says: “The Learning Shop is very proud to be hosting its annual Jobs Fair with Bluewater again. There’s a huge variety of jobs available at all levels and so the Jobs Fair represents a great opportunity for local people looking for work in this fantastic retail and leisure destination.”

David Mote, The Worshipful Mayor of Dartford added: “The Jobs Fair at Bluewater brings valuable employment opportunities to local residents by promoting a tremendous variety of diverse and interesting jobs at every level. Dartford is a great place to live, play and work and I’m really looking forward to meeting some of the potential new Bluewater employees at the Fair. I want to wish all the visitors to the Fair the very best of luck when finding and applying for positions at this, have-to-attend, two-day event
