Today (9.9.2016), Bluewater, together with its pioneering on-site recruitment and training facility, The Learning Shop, welcomed back the highly successful Jobs Fayre for the fifth consecutive year. The event came as Dartford’s unemployment rates dropped to the lowest they have been in 20 years.

Opened by MP for Dartford, Gareth Johnson, Mayor of Dartford, John Burrell, Bluewater’s General Manager, Robert Goodman, and Department of Work and Pensions Customer Service Operations Managers, Sue Rogers and Rose Moore the Bluewater Jobs Fayre showcased almost 2,000 permanent and temporary jobs.

Since its foundation five years ago, the Jobs Fayre has helped match over 6,000 suitable candidates to vacancies at Bluewater. In total, the Learning Shop and Bluewater partnership, which began 17 years ago, has brokered employment for over 46,000 people and has trained in excess of 21,500 people.

This year’s event saw the most diverse range of jobs available to date, including management positions at over 80 of Bluewater’s leading retailers and restaurants, including Five Guys, Arriva Buses, Hackett, Next, Showcase Cinemas, John Lewis, House of Fraser and Marks & Spencer.
