CHILDREN’S CHARITY TRUSTEE TO RUN TWO MARATHONS OVER EASTER WEEKEND TO RAISE MONEY FOR HOLG

by | Mar 25, 2021 | Children, Dartford Charities, Dartford News

A Dartford financial advisor is taking on a mega challenge for a children’s bereavement charity this Easter…the 4x4x48 challenge.

That’s:
A 4 mile run
Every 4 hours
For 48 hours

Starting on Good Friday, Brian Downton, of Downton & Ali Associates will complete 13 runs, totalling 52 miles – that’s two marathons in one weekend!

He’s a trustee of Holding On Letting Go, which supports bereaved children across Kent and South East London, when someone they love has died or is about to die.

Brian is no stranger to a challenge – he’s done many endurance events before and although he hasn’t done one for a while, he’s got some booked for 2021 – and considers this one part of the training!

Brian said: “I really enjoy these kind of challenges and it’s great to get back into them after the last year!

“HOLG is a fantastic charity and now I’m a trustee, I wanted to get behind them with this fundraiser.
“I’m looking for some support from businesses who can buy a logo on the back of my shirt, join me for a run or a bit of one, celebrate at the finish line with me or sponsor me.

“It’s a challenge I’ve had my eye on for a while and I’m looking forward to spending the Easter weekend doing it – I’ll have earned my chocolate eggs at the end!”

Brian is keen to involve as many people as possible and you can support him by:

Joining him on a run – contact Brian: brian@downtonali.co.uk

SBS Printing and Art Supplies – Graham Milton

Executive event transfers – Gary Johnson
