Dartford win again

by | Nov 1, 2015 | Dartford News, Uncategorized

Darts went with the same formation 4-2-3-1 but with Ebou Adams coming in for the suspended Lee Noble. The game got off to a slow start, but Dartford created the first chances falling to Danny Harris and Ryan Hayes both from good build ups.

Midway through the first half Dartford broke the deadlock after good work from Tom Bradbrook and Danny Harris, with Bradbrook getting on the end of a Harris cross and heading into the open net.

Dartford again played some good football and created another great chance when Ryan Hayes put Danny Harris through which forced a great save from the Hayes &Yeading goalkeeper.

Hayes & Yeading finished the first half stronger but Dartford came in with a 1-0 lead at half time.

Dartford again started well in the second half but it was obvious that Hayes & Yeading had to come out and try and force the issue. This helped Dartford counter attack on a number of occasions forcing many corners. Tony Burman made two subs with Andy Pugh and George Sykes coming on for Tom Bradbrook and Ebou Adams. Shortly after the subs were made Dartford again had a good move with Ryan Hayes and Andy Pugh combining down the right hand side with Pugh crossing the ball for Elliot Bradbrook to head home with a great move and great finish.

The Darts made one other sub with Jack Simmons coming on for Ryan Hayes but Dartford looked organised and comfortable and deserved their 3 points.

Tony Burman said “We have had a good couple of weeks with the results that we have produced. The players train very well Monday and Thursday and that little bit of belief and confidence is slowly but surely coming back on and off the field. I am really pleased for the players which again can only be step in the right direction.”

Captain Elliot Bradbrook added “It was a really good performance today. We spoke before the game about the importance of winning consistently and performing well every week, so to get two wins in a row is a massive lift for everyone. We are starting to show what we can do as a group and long may it continue.”
