Wentworth Primary School is delighted to be part of Reconnect. A KCC led community based programme designed to get Kent’s children and young people back to enjoying the activities and opportunities they took part in before COVID-19. On 1st October Wentworth held a free family picnic and inflatable day for the community in the school grounds.
Now all the children are back in school Wentworth Primary wanted to host something that would involve the whole family and community, outdoors and make children happy. The idea was whilst the children were burning off some energy with their friends, parents and friends could meet up, Reconnect and make new friends.
Millie Short, aged 10 “I had such a great time meeting up with friends and bouncing around. My Mum even met up with her friends too. I wasn’t bothered by the little bit of rain”.
Mr Paul Langridge, Headteacher “It was a real pleasure to welcome our friends and families from the local community to our school and to see all the children having so much fun”.
