Grants to support Dartford’s communities

by | Dec 8, 2016 | Dartford Charities

Dartford Borough Council is inviting local ‘not for profit’ registered charities and community groups to apply for the last round of funding from the Community Grant Scheme 2016/17.

Grants of between £500 and £3,000 are available for local groups to improve the services they offer to Dartford residents.

The Grants on offer are designed to support the following activities.

  • improve Dartford’s sporting provision or work towards improving club standards through accreditation or training; or
  • improve, provide or expand services for young people or older people.

Applications will be judged by a panel of councillors and successful applicants will receive their funding before the end of the current financial year.

Councillor Jeremy Kite, Leader of the Council, said, “The Council is once again offering funding to worthy local groups and projects through the Community Grant Scheme. It’s always great to see how the money awarded helps to improve and extend the services and activities available around the Borough.”

Full details of the scheme and an online application form are available at www.dartford.gov.uk/communitygrants. Applications and supporting documents must be received by midday on Monday 6th February 2017.
