Tall Central Defender, Kory Roberts, arrived at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park on loan from National League side Bromley in January.

Since his arrival, the 24-year old from Birmingham has proved to be a pivotal part of Steve King’s plans, having collected three Man of The Match awards and one goal in fifteen appearances.

This humble player has eleven siblings and, whilst he takes each game as it comes, he aspires to play at the highest level possible in order to be financially secure and look after his family.

With family being the centre of Kory’s life, he’s proud to say that his favourite moment in football was making his debut with his friends and family present. And, when he suffered a serious leg injury, it was his family and friends who were there to help and support him during such a terrible time off the field.

Being a natural sporting person, Kory took to football with ease as he began playing at the age of four. Being inspired by the great Rio Ferdinand, and with a passion for keeping clean-sheets, he started to attract the attention of clubs across the country.

He subsequently signed for Walsall, and throughout his career, has played against the likes of Harvey Barnes and James Maddison. As far as teammates are concerned, Kory enjoyed playing alongside talents such as Tyler Roberts and Eurhun Oztumer.

With his 2021-22 season starting slowly at Bromley, being sent to the Darts on loan has proved to be a blessing in disguise for Kory. He’s thriving under the guidance of Steve King and his coaching staff, and is grateful to be playing for a manager who evidently believes in his abilities as a player.

The move has seen Kory enjoying his football once again, especially here at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park, where the atmosphere is always amazing. Together with the loyal supporters, talented squad, and management team, Kory honestly believes that great things can be achieved at Dartford.
