Staff and volunteers from the Dartford British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop enlisted star studded help to draw this year’s Christmas raffle. Comedian, actor and television presenter, Joe Pasquale, selected the winning ticket on stage yesterday at the Orchard theatre where he is currently playing Prince Charming.
This year’s raffle gave shoppers the chance to win a £150 Tesco voucher and the lucky recipient was Simon, a customer from Dartford who plans to buy “a turkey and all the trimmings” with his festive winnings.
With the funds raised from the raffle helping to fund the BHF’s life-saving research, the team at Dartford were delighted with the support of the local community.
June Tumilty, BHF Area Manager, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to the people of Dartford and Joe Pasquale for offering his support and selecting the winning ticket. Our loyal customers have been amazing this year and have helped to raise over £1,265 in the raffle alone.
“We completely rely on the support of the local community to keep us running and it is only with their generous donations and custom to our shop, that we can provide essential funding towards our pioneering research and services.”
