The Orchard Theatre Is Gearing up to Christmas with a Variety of Festive Shows!

Prepare yourself for a party as the legendary That’ll Be The Day, will be making a visit to The Orchard Theatre on Monday 11 December. The ‘Number One Award Winning’ entertainment show, returns with its brand new 2017 Christmas Show! That’ll Be The Day is all about nostalgia and live entertainment, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever.

The Belvedere Concert Band are delighted to be back at The Orchard Theatre, Dartford for the sixth year running, on Monday 18th December at 7.30pm. The Magic of Christmas charity concert in aid of Parkinson’s UK and the Samaritans. Get into the festive spirit and celebrate Christmas with the Belvedere Concert Band and guests as they bring you the very best of music and song from the classics, stage and big screen with plenty of Christmas favourites!

Renowned dance company, Moscow City Ballet returns to Dartford following a triumphant season with its dramatic traditional story-telling and captivating performances The enchanting and romantic story of The Sleeping Beauty inspired Tchaikovsky to write some of his most glorious music, and the ballet has captivated the imaginations of people for well over a hundred years and will be at The Orchard Theatre from Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 January 2018.

Direct from the USA the international smash hit show New Jersey Nights comes returns to Dartford from Tuesday 2 – Saturday 6 January 2018 as part of their world tour. The show is a spectacular celebration of the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and takes the audience on a nostalgic musical journey through the career of one of the biggest selling groups of all time. From the back street studio in New Jersey where it all began, this vibrant production includes all of The Four Seasons greatest hits, Including Sherry, Rag Doll, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like A Man and many more.

Moscow City Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker will be performed in all its original splendour by some of the world’s finest dancers at The Orchard Theatre from Wednesday 10 – Saturday 13 January. Artistic Director Smirnov-Golovanov’s version of The Nutcracker has an innovative freshness and the orchestra, choreography, interpretation, beauty and outstanding virtuoso performances win repeatedly rave reviews.

Cilla – The Musical is the spectacular and heart-warming musical adaptation of the critically acclaimed hit ITV television series by Bafta-Award winner Jeff Pope (The Moorside, Philomena, From The Cradle To The Grave, Mrs Biggs and the acclaimed Little Boy Blue which had ITV audiences glued to their screens). It tells the extraordinary story of the ordinary girl from Liverpool whose teenage dreams of stardom lead her to becoming one of Britain’s best-loved entertainers of all time. The new musical will be at The Orchard Theatre from Tuesday 16 – Saturday 20 January 2018.

Just when you thought Christmas was over, the New Year brings with it one more festive treat, this time for the adults! Hot of the heels of last year’s Adult Panto – Sinbad The Seaman the Market Theatre Company return to bring to life the story of Sinbad the Sailor and his epic adventures across the seas to defeat the one-eyed monster – packing it with corny jokes, raunchy plots and blatant sexual innuendo at The Orchard Theatre on Saturday 7 January.

Jamie Wilson and Gavin Kalin are delighted to announce that Claire Sweeney will take over the role of ‘Irene’ in the national tour of the Watermill Theatre’s acclaimed production of Crazy For You. Claire joins Tom Chambers who plays Bobby and Charlotte Wakefield who plays Polly from Tuesday 23 – Saturday 27 January 2018.
