There was a 5k route around the beautiful Swanley Park and volunteers at paint stations threw the powder at participants at every 1km. All participants were told to wear a white T-shirt and prepare to be ‘blasted’ with coloured powder. The colour affect was amazing. All costs were covered by sponsorship from Barclays, Leisure King, Buss Murton Solicitors and Gary Sergeant Chartered Accountants. They also sent along staff as volunteers to man the colour stations.
All funds raised on the day will pay for play schemes for disabled children in the Summer holidays. Parents Consortium Operations Director, Katrina Adams said
“We were overwhelmed with support today and thank you to every one that sponsored took part and volunteered at our Colour Dash event. We have raised £9,000 so far and tte money raised today will made a big difference to our children and their families as the summer holidays is a particularly tough time for families caring for disabled children.
