Back by popular demand, Bluewater, Europe’s leading retail and leisure destination, is proud to announce the return of the colourful pop-up Poppy Shop in the run up to Remembrance Sunday.
After an incredible response to last year’s shop, The Royal British Legion and Bluewater will once again open a store offering an array of stylish, high quality poppy themed goods and gifts. All sales generated will help raise vital funds for the important work The Royal British Legion does in providing care and support to members of the British Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
The pop-up shop will be located in the Lower Rose Gallery of Bluewater near John Lewis from Monday 24th October to Sunday 13th November.
Collections for the Legion will also take place between 29th October and 13th November outside M&S. To commemorate Armistice Day, the day that marks the end of the First World War, Bluewater will host a Two Minute Silence on November 11th at 11:00am to remember all those lost in conflict.
Robert Goodman, General Manager at Bluewater said:
“We are delighted to welcome The Poppy Shop Pop-Up back to Bluewater. We are urging Bluewater’s valued guests to dig deep again this year, and would like to thank them all for their kind support.”
John Norton, Head of Trading, The Royal British Legion added:
“Each year, through the British public’s generous donations, we are able to help the Armed Forces community and their families. We believe that The Royal British Legion pop-up Poppy Shop at Bluewater will provide the public with another way to show their support and to raise important funds so we can continue to help all our beneficiaries.”
The Legion’s role remains as contemporary and as vital as it has ever been in supporting today’s generation of Armed Forces families and veterans, whether living with an injury or illness, coping with bereavement or finding employment.
