Unemployed young adults in Dartford who are interested in building confidence, getting work experience and developing important job seeking skills are encouraged to sign up for the Prince’s Trust Team programme before it’s too late.
Delivered in Dartford by charity CXK, the next programme is set to start on Monday 4th May 2020, and provides an opportunity for unemployed 16-24 year olds to take part in a full-time, 12 week development programme.
93% of people who take part in the programme are successful in getting a job or progressing into education or training after completing the programme.
The programme gives them the chance to go on an action-packed trip to an outbound activity centre, develop their Maths and English skills, and build work-related skills including communication, teamwork, job searching, and leadership. They give back to their communities by volunteering, raising awareness and fundraising for causes that matter to them, and benefit from a two week work experience placement in their field of interest.
Brendan Hammond, Delivery Manager of the programme at CXK, says: “The programme is a brilliant way for people to find a new direction and build the skills and confidence they need to find employment, and for many it’s absolutely life changing.”
Team is a personal development programme which provides unemployed 16-25 year olds with the chance to take on new challenges, take a qualification, make long-lasting friendships and develop vital skills that will help them to find work. The programme is completely free of charge and doesn’t affect participants’ Jobseekers Allowance or Universal Credit. Travel costs are paid, and individuals may even be entitled to meals and bursary payments.
Brendan continued: “Spots are filling fast, but we still have a few spaces left. To register interest just email princestrustinfo@cxk.org, call our recruitment team on 07843 287787, or visit cxk.org.”
