We Are Beams raises over £20,000 for disabled children at Charity Ball!

by | Nov 16, 2023 | Dartford Charities

We Are Beams, a charity that supports disabled children in Kent, raised a record £20,000 at its inaugural Charity Ball on November 10th.

Over one hundred guests enjoyed a 3-course meal, live music, auction and raffle at Dartford Football Club, and it is thanks to all the guests, supporters and sponsors that the event raised over £20,000 with a huge single donation received on the night from a corporate supporter of £6,000!

Luke Cashin, Fundraising Manager at We Are Beams, was truly in awe of the generosity shown,

“Fundraising events take lots of effort and we have been truly amazed at the support from volunteers and local companies providing everything from entertainment, photography and equipment all ensuring that the funds raised will go directly towards Beams services supporting disabled children”

This charity Ball would not have been possible without the support of the Ball committee and the sponsors My Purchasing Partner, Bresser Photography, FLR Spectron, Style it Event Hire, RJ Power, John Francis, BB Constellations, County UK, Eleven True Colours, Infinity Balloons Bexley, Paula Florist, CC Hextable and Vicky S Sings.

We Are Beams provides overnight respite care and holiday clubs for children and young adults with complex disabilities and learning difficulties. The disabled children and young people who access our services are aged between 4-19 years. They will usually have one or multiple learning difficulties, complex health needs such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or another life limiting disease, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour as a result of their disability, Autism or severe ADHD.
