“Wellbeing Link” helping to tackle issues of loneliness, isolation and life affecting health conditions in Kent

Kent’s Wellbeing Link is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led community organisation providing support groups for anyone whose life is affected by loneliness, isolation, or health conditions.

For many the issues of loneliness, isolation and ill health are only too real. Kent’s Wellbeing Link offers weekly support meetings to help their clients.  These weekly support meetings offer a place to make friends, receive complementary therapies and foot care, enjoy creative activities and exercise, access experts in legal, financial and nutrition and advice on other sources of help.

As well as the popular weekly meetings, Wellbeing Link organises; courses and workshops covering topics including confidence and writing, providestreatments at home for those that need additional care and arranges social events including an annual garden party and trips to the seaside or the theatre.

To fund their important work Wellbeing Link is totally reliant on donations. One of their popular fundraising events is the “Pamper Evening and Gift Fair” held at Dartford Football Club.

If you would like to support Wellbeing Link the next Pamper Evening and Gift Fairs will be held on 5 September, 3 October, 7 November and 5 December 2019 between 7 and 10pm.

At the events you will be able to try therapy ‘taster’ treatments (£10 per treatment), to relax and restore, including massage, reflexology, kinesiology, facials and browse stalls including; help to get healthier or fitter, offering nutritional advice, as well as clothing and jewellery gifts.

Wellbeing link is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led community organisation providing support groups for anyone whose life is affected by loneliness and isolation as well as health conditions from Arthritis to Cancer or other life-affecting illness.  The groups meet at St. Anselm’s Parish Centre, 89 West Hill every Friday morning and All Saint’s Parish Centre, Perry Street, Northfleet on Tuesday mornings, both from 10-1pm. (except August) an arts and crafts group meets at The Hub, Phoenix Place on Monday afternoons from 1-4pm.
