No Frills Theatre Company’s Gravesend preview of ‘Ball Boys’ by David Edgar.

No Frills Theatre Company proudly presents a preview of their entry into the Southern Counties Drama Festival, Ball Boys by David Edgar.

20th February 2020. St. Andrews Art Centre, Royal Pier Road, Gravesend DA12 2BD

Starring and directing is Logan Mersh (Best Young Actor for Orphans, Kent Drama Association) with talented upcoming star Jonathan Smeed (John Merrick, The Elephant Man).

The play is set in a Wimbledon tennis court locker room where we find two ball boys with murderous intent, whilst spouting Marxist ideology.

The play, written in the 1980s has ironic modern day parallels with recent activity in it’s depiction of Socialism.

Both comic and tragic the play wears its political heart very firmly on its sleeve.

For years now we have been delivering raw performances without the glitz and the glamour; something that we feel can sometimes mask the true art of acting.

Our thought provoking performances will capture your imagination and take you to a new world, often challenging your own viewpoints. Leaving you questioning certain morals and beliefs that shape you as a person.
