Local health chiefs will decide on the future location of urgent care services for patients in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley  at an extraordinary meeting on Thursday 16 January 2020.

This follows a 12 week long public consultation between August and November 2019 and then publication of findings by an independent company in December 2019.

The Governing Body of NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group will consider the findings of the report and the concerns raised by local people during the consultation process, as part of a decision making business case to inform their final decision on the future location of urgent care services.

The public are invited to attend the meeting to listen to the debate. There will also be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.

The extraordinary Governing Body meeting will take place on Thursday 16 January 2020, from 1pm – 2.30pm in Room B12, B Floor, Dartford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Dartford DA1 1DR.

Please get in touch if you plan to attend and if you have any questions relating to the agenda item. These must be submitted in advance and sent to dgs.ccg@nhs.net or posted to: Freepost RTXG-RKSL-TYJH, NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley CCG, 2nd Floor, Gravesham Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, DA12 1AU.

Meeting papers will be published on the CCG website two days prior to the Governing Body meeting at https://www.dartfordgraveshamswanleyccg.nhs.uk/get-involved/urgent-care-post-consultation/

The CCG received an unprecedented response to its public consultation with almost 16,500  completed surveys and additional feedback from community roadshows, stakeholder briefings and public listening events.

Local people were asked for their views on two proposed options to create an Urgent Treatment Centre at either Gravesham Community Hospital or Darent Valley Hospital. This would bring together the existing urgent care services currently provided by the Minor Injuries Unit at Gravesham Community Hospital and the White Horse Walk-in Centre at Fleet Health Campus under one roof.
