RingGo announces collaboration to provide technologically-enabled parking in the Dartford area

RingGo, the UK’s number 1 phone parking app, today announces its collaboration with Dartford Borough Council to deliver cashless parking to local residents, at the same time replacing an alternative phone parking solution.

With this announcement, Dartford becomes the 10th council in Kent to offer RingGo. The councils currently using RingGo include Gravesham, Medway, Swale, Folkestone and Hythe, Canterbury, Thanet, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Dover.

Past successes indicate that the implementation of RingGo here will encourage more local drivers to park cashlessly. Motorists can use the RingGo app to map parking spaces navigate to them and pay for parking. Motorists can also extend their stay via their smartphone after they have found and parked in an available space.

Jeremy Kite, Leader of Dartford Borough Council said: “The introduction of RingGo in Dartford means quick and simple cashless parking payments for local residents and visitors, making life much easier for commuters and trips into town far more convenient for shoppers.

Peter O’Driscoll, UK Managing Director, RingGo, said: “Having Dartford join many other local Kent councils in partnering with RingGo is another string to our bow. Many drivers in Kent love the service we provide. As it stands in 2020, over 16 million customers use RingGo across the UK and our solutions are offered in 400 plus towns and cities in the country.”

Drivers who park in Dartford can get VAT receipts for all parking sessions either through the free RingGo parking app, or on the website.
