By law, the Electoral Registration Officer is required to undertake an Annual Canvass of all households in the borough to check the information on the electoral register is as accurate and up to date as possible.
Household Enquiry Forms (HEF) are being sent to every household in the borough with the details of residents currently registered to vote. All householders are required by law to provide the required information as soon as possible, even if there are no changes to be made, or a fine can be imposed (£1,000).
The easiest and quickest way to confirm details are correct is by using the security codes printed on the form and visiting www.elecreg.co.uk/dartford.
Householders can also text 07786 209436 or call the automated telephone service 0808 284 1436 if there are no changes, as well return the paper form in the post in the pre-paid envelope provided.
