This being the second Charity Curry Night of the year held at the hall, with the previous being in April for the previous Mayor of Dartford.

Laid out was an authentic three-course Indian Buffet which the family are proud to call ‘Proper Punjabi Curry’. The entertainment was provided by a live DJ who had the tunes flowing all night long and a fully stocked bar that was available to all who attended.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Dartford herself along with Mayors and Deputy Mayors from surrounding areas such as Barking & Dagenham, Swanscombe & Greenhithe, Thurrock, Sevenoaks, and Medway. The Chairman of Kent County Council and Sevenoaks were also present, with further attendance from workmates, friends, and family.

An amazing total amount of £1221.40 was raised, which was all due to the success of ticket sales and a raffle of which prizes were kindly donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals.

After the buffet had finished, many got up to showcase their dance moves to a medley of classic and Indian music. It was truly a great night to raise money for great causes.
