Bluewater and The learning Shop are welcoming back the highly popular Jobs Fayre for its fourth consecutive year on September 18 2015 and will be offering in excess of 1,800 permanent and temporary jobs, a 20 per cent increase on 2014.

The Learning Shop, Bluewater’s pioneering on-site recruitment and training facility has secured a record number of diverse vacancies, including management positions – a first for the Jobs Fayre. Over 80 of Bluewater’s leading retailers and restaurants are participating and include new additions such as Arriva Buses, Hackett, Next, Five Guys and Showcase Cinemas. They join long-term supporters of The Learning Shop, anchor stores John Lewis, House of Fraser and Marks & Spencer.

Opening times for the Jobs Fayre have been extended to 11am – 5pm this year to ensure as many candidates as possible can meet with prospective employers. It is also taking place in Glow’s larger Upper Hall due to the increased number of new brands involved. In excess of 5,000 interviews will be available and prospective candidates can register their interest ahead of the event via The Learning Shop’s website, www.learningshopbluewater.co.uk.

The MP for Dartford, Gareth Johnson and Mayor of Dartford, Ian Armitt will be visiting the event alongside the District Operations Manager for the Department of Work and Pensions, Louise Leighton-McTague and Bluewater’s General Manager Robert Goodman.

Commenting on the 2015 Jobs Fayre, Gareth Johnson, MP for Dartford, said: “The Jobs Fayre has done so much for the local community over the past few years, changing the lives of thousands of people in Dartford and the wider community. It’s amazing to be part of its growth and success, and to see the number of retailers and restaurants now involved offering a wider range of exciting positions.

“The Jobs Fayre demonstrates why Bluewater and The Learning Shop are used nationally as an example of how the public and private sectors can work together to create long-term, sustainable recruitment and training opportunities.”

Speaking on behalf of The Learning Shop’s partners, Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s General Manager, added: “The 2015 Jobs Fayre is very exciting. Not only do we have a record number of positions available but the strongest retailer engagement with support from many leading UK and international brands. The new management roles and high level of permanent positions are testament to the success of the Jobs Fayre in past years and its reputation within the retail and restaurant sectors to launch successful careers.”

In addition, The Learning Shop will be holding CV workshops throughout the day and the team will also be available to offer any advice to prospective candidates
