We Are Beams a local charity supporting disabled children is launching a brand NEW event Beams 24 Football Challenge.
This non-stop 24hr fun football challenge will raise money to provide 24hr care for disabled children in Kent and Medway.
Running from Midday Saturday 3 rd September to Midday 4 th September at Dartford Football Club, 7 a side teams will play for one hour each within the 24hr period . Teams and individuals of all abilities are encouraged to join up and everyone is
welcome including, youth, disabled, senior or friends and family. We Are Beams based in Hextable provide care and support to disabled children and their families. The disabled children and young people who access We Are Beams services will typically have one or multiple learning difficulties, complex health needs, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, Autism or severe ADHD
.
Beams understand the challenges of caring for a disabled child 24/7 and how for many families, this can be an isolating and emotional experience. Luke Cashin from the charity explains how fundraising events like these are so important to the charity,
“Being able to hold unusual and fun events such as Beams24 will raise much need funds. All proceeds will help to provide holiday play schemes, day trips and respite care within our Dragon’s Retreat for disabled children.”
Every year We Are Beams continue to raise £2 Million a year in order to provide care to over 450 families in Kent.
