Try orienteering on Saturday 14th March with Dartford Orienteering Klubb

Suitable for all the family and all ages. No previous experience of orienteering is needed. Come and learn some new skills. Coaching guidance will be provide dot get you started. 

Arrive between 10:15am – 10:30am in the main car park at Darenth Country Park for the briefing on what to do. 

Start at 11:00am and finish at 12:00pm. Find as many controls as you can in 60 minutes. 

Do you need loads of expensive kit? No you don’t. If you intend to run you’ll need running clothes and trainers, including long running trousers. Bear in mind that you might be going through vegetation, so don’t wear shorts! If you intend to walk, walking boots or trainers are good. 

A compass is very useful but not essential. You are not allowed to use a GPS or the map on your phone to help you! Wear a watch to keep track of the time. 

You can hire the electronic dibber which records the controls you visit. You will get a print out of your results. Your entry fee will include your own copy of the event map.
