Orchard West, in collaboration with Dartford Borough Council and Pivotal Productions C.I.C., is proud to announce the launch of Alumn X Pro, a bespoke creative intensive designed to bridge the gap between higher education and the professional performing arts industry.
Fully sponsored by Dartford Council’s “Making Memories” initiative, the programme is free for all participants, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of artistic growth and professional networking.

Bridging the Post-Graduation Gap, Alumn X Pro, is specifically designed for performers aged 18+ who have recently graduated or are about to graduate from higher education performing arts institutions. The transition from drama school or university to the professional world can often feel isolating; this initiative aims to foster an inclusive, supportive network where artists can connect regardless of where they trained.

A Hybrid Approach to Professional Practice, the programme focuses on high-level craft and practical industry readiness. Under the guidance of professional theatre practitioners and educational leaders, participants will:
- Select and stage material for a final showcase.
- Perform in a hybrid setting filmed in front of industry guests.
- Receive professional showreel material and high-quality photography for self-promotion.
- Attend tailored workshops focused on healthy practices for the mind and body.
- Real-World Mentorship Beyond the stage, Alumn X Pro offers a “behind-the-scenes” look at the industry. Participants will gain practical advice often missing from standard curricula—from the logistics of booking “digs” while on tour to the realities of life on a cruise ship and navigating professional open classes.
- Event Schedule & Location

Workshops: Sunday 1st, 8th, and 15th March at Acacia Sports Hall.
Final Showcase: Saturday 21st March, 3:00 PM at Orchard West.

“We want participants to leave feeling empowered, informed, and—most importantly—connected,” says the production team. “Our goal is to foster a positive community of artists who provide long-term mentorship and support through their own lived experiences.”
