Visitors of all ages will be inspired and amazed by the wonders of science at a new Science Museum attraction at Bluewater. The Science Museum Shop will celebrate all things scientific through a unique mix of exciting live science demonstrations, interactive experiments, gadgets and gifts.

During half term and every weekend between Saturday 24 October and 31 December 2015, visitors can enjoy live science demonstrations and experiments lead by the Science Museum team in a specially created Test Zone. Visitors can learn about gravity and propulsion and even make their own popping rocket. From space and robots to kitchen gadgets and experiments you can do at home, the shop will also stock an abundance of exciting gifts and merchandise that would make imaginative festive gifts for all the family.

The London Science Museum’s Head of Learning Operations, Kenny Webster, said: “The Science Museum Shop at Bluewater is a great opportunity to bring a little piece of the Science Museum in London to Kent. We hope our live science demonstrations will inspire visitors of all ages to get excited about science and share their experience with family and friends.”

Robert Goodman, Bluewater’s General Manager, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Science Museum back to Bluewater for the second time in two years. The pop-up was a huge success in 2014 and we’ve no doubt this year’s opening will bring even more excitement to shoppers. At Bluewater, we’re passionate about giving our guests a memorable experience and recommend visitors drop in to the Science Museum for some science-filled entertainment!”

The Science Museum Shop at Bluewater is open every day to 31 December 2015. Experiments and demonstrations in the Test Zone will take place every weekend, during half term and over the festive period. For further information
