The public are invited to the Annual General Meeting of NHS Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on Tuesday 24 September 2019.

by | Sep 20, 2019 | Dartford News, Health, NHS

The focus will be on the CCG’s performance and achievements over the financial year 2018-19, which included coming out of NHS England’s ‘special measures.’ There will also be a look ahead at the coming year as we move towards transformational changes to the NHS system across Kent and Medway.

The AGM takes place at Gravesend Rugby Club, Donald Biggs Drive, Gravesend DA12 2TL from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on Tuesday 24 September 2019.

Managing Director for north and west Kent CCGs, Ian Ayres, will give a presentation looking back at the financial year 2018-19 and then he will talk about anticipated changes to the CCG landscape during 2019-20. Members of the public are welcome to attend the AGM to hear the presentation and speech and can ask questions during the public questions and answers session which follows.

Rosemary Bolton, Independent Lay Member (Public Engagement) on the CCG Governing Body, said: “Our AGM is open to the public and if you are interested in local health care and want to stay up to date with what’s happening, then please do come along, all are welcome. Feedback is always appreciated, whether good or not so good, and we welcome any patients who want to find out more or get involved in the CCG’s work.”

Listening Post

The CCG, which plans, buys and monitors most local healthcare services, will hold its regular Listening Post before the AGM, giving local people another opportunity to put their questions directly to representatives of the Governing Body in an informal setting.

The Listening Post takes place from 12:45pm to 1:15pm. There’s no need to submit questions in advance, just turn up on the day. However, depending on the nature and level of detail provided in the question, the CCG may not be able to answer in full at the Listening Post. If that is the case, the query will be passed to the relevant lead and responded to as soon as possible afterwards.
